The Topo Athletic Specter 2 is a rare gem, being one of the few options that features a generous stack of premium superfoam without a plate or carrier foam. The Specter 2 is ideally suited for top-performance daily training, long workouts, and even racing for those that want to forego stiff plates.
With 2 mm more foam underfoot than the previous Specter, Topo has dialed up comfort over long runs, but the added comfort doesn’t sacrifice on speed. The new full-length Pebax Powered midsole gives exceptional energy return, combining with the propulsive forefoot rocker for quick transitions.
In the outsole, strategically placed rubber in high abrasion areas offers excellent traction and durability while keeping weight to a minimum. Wrapping up this dream is a recycled mesh upper for a lightweight breathable experience in Topo's signature fit: a roomy toe box coupled with a secure midfoot and heel.
